A simple start with SDOS

The basic SDOS workflow: how to record an order, send it to Planner, work with clients and goods, prepare invoices, use reports and keep your day organized.

Quick start

SDOS is a working environment that installs with no complex setup. Version 1.0 focuses on a clear everyday workflow and practical work with local data. Future versions will extend cloud features and data protection.

  1. Open Order / Notes — the main workspace.
  2. Choose a date and hour, record an order, task or note.
  3. Add the client, goods, quantities and prices — the total is calculated automatically.
  4. Click “To Planner” if the item needs a follow-up or a deadline.
  5. At the end of the day, check Planner, reports and archives.
Tip: start the day with Agenda / Daily agenda — it shows priorities, active orders and overdue items.

How to use the core modules

Order / Notes — the main capture zone

This is where daily orders, requests, plans, tasks, goods, prices, reminders and comments are first recorded.

Planner — visible control

Use Planner for follow-ups, deadlines, planned actions and order reminders. Items can be sent from Order / Notes.

Clients

Store company names, contact persons, phones, websites, company details, notes and call actions.

Goods / Services — mini stock

A simple catalogue of products and services with units, prices, currency, notes and stock: boxes and pieces are recalculated automatically.

Goods Report

Shows which goods or services were used over a selected period. By default the period starts on the first day of the current month.

Invoices

Items, quantities, prices, VAT, totals, sender, recipient, notes and print/PDF documents.

Archives

Orders archive and Invoice archive — for viewing saved records and protecting important history.

Share Center

Prepare selected information for copying, printing or sending via available channels: system sharing, Telegram, WhatsApp, Viber, Email.

Backup / Restore

Protect local data and move it when needed — JSON export and import.

Best practices

  • Order / Notes is the main capture zone. Start there: this keeps the working day structured by date and hour.
  • Planner is for visible control. Send only important plans, orders and follow-ups there.
  • Clients and Goods support the order. Use them to avoid repeated manual entry.
  • Reports and Archives are for reviewing history. Check what happened during the day, week or month.

Data security

Until cloud sign-in and server-side backup are implemented, local backup is important for protecting your work.

  • Use Backup / Restore regularly.
  • Keep the numbers and dates of important invoices accurate.
  • Do not rely on local storage alone for long-term critical records.
  • Future versions will add sign-in and secure hosting.

Frequently asked questions
